It’s a Dog’s Life

Welcome to the inaugural edition of the It’s a Dog’s Life e-newsletter. Each week we’ll send you an email (unless you’d rather not, just ask!) keeping you informed on the daycare and its staff, your dog and his pals and maybe provide a helpful tip or two to enrich the life of you and your animal companion.

We’d love it if you’d share our letter with family and friends and if there’s something you’d like to hear more about, please tell us and we’ll be sure to include it in future mailings.

So without further ado, let’s get started!

!Dog of the Week!

Lucy, a yellow lab and one of the daycare’s longest standing customers. She enjoys snuggling, tug-o-war and visiting with her favorite play pals-Mabel and Pixie.

Two dog snaps for Lucy, woof, woof!

Do you know Nathan?   This expert puppy player-wither  joined the family in August 2003 and now “man's” the Montrose daycare in addition to driving the shuttle back and forth to Magnolia for our overnight guests.

When he's not playing dog games, he runs his own production studio (look for his adorable video featuring the Montrose bunch on our website soon!). Welcome Nathan and thanks for all you do!

                                  ****Elizabeth’s Tip of the Week:****

Be sure your dog’s collar fits correctly. The appropriate collar for Doggy Daycare pups is a nylon quick-clip closure. The collar should be snug but not tight, you should be able to slip two fingers between the collar and the dog’s neck. Check the nylon regularly for fraying or wear and tear!

We at the It's a dogs life family have a perfect solution to your dogs collar problems.

Did you know thousands of dogs are injured or strangled by their collars each year? In a recent survey, 96% of veterinarians reported having seen/heard of a collar-related injury or death within the last year.

Tenney Mudge the inventor of the Keepsafe Break Away collar knows all to well, about the dangers of unsupervised doggy play, fences, crates/kennels, heating/cooling vents and shrubs.

Most frequently reported accident incidents

So please ask for a demonstration of how to use the Break-Away collar.  Our new friend Tenney Mudge sent us a collar so we can see what a truly safe collar looks like.     Thank you Tenney.
